Day 1
Arrival in Cubis hotel in Lendava. You are welcomed with a drink and the key to the room. The first romantic dinner in Slovenia you will be served traditional Slovenian food.
Day 2
We start the day with a visit of Vinarium tower, the name of which originates from the time of the Roman empire, as it is located in the heart of the land of the vineyard and it was a market place for wine - as the Romans called it, ‘forum vinarium’. The tower offers a fascinating view to 4 different countries. We continue our way to Hiša Vina Cuk where surrounded with incredible landscape you will be able to taste some wines and cold cut meets and traditional Slovenian desserts. Take a stroll among the vineyards and enjoy what the land has to offer. Day continues at Tigeli bee museum. Slovenia takes it’s pride in bees, many local people own small beehives. It is as well as a relaxing hobby as it is life style, living alongside these tiny creatures. You will be able to see traditional Slovenian bee hives and taste the honey, perhaps take home a sweet souvenir, after all honey is as sweet as love. The Island of Love is our next stop, named after the love between a contessa from Beltinci and the poor soon of a miller. The river guides will take you on a ride on a raft on river Mura, you will receive a ‘love potion welcome drink’ and be able to see a traditional river mill and how they used to live in these parts. You will be offered a typical food called Bograč. For dinner you will have a culinary delight with local flavours.
Day 3
We believe a healthy loving mind should live in a healthy happy body so today you will treat yourself In the most beautiful spa in Slovenia, located in Podčetrtek on the Slovenian - Croatian Border, Orhidelia. Enjoy the wonderful ambient, massage pools, numerous saunas a resting areas. In the evening you head your way towards Hotel MD in Kamnik.
Day 4
We will visit the capital Ljubljana, located only 30 minutes drive away. The name of our capital as well as our country has love in it. Ljubljen in Slovene means loved. A 2 hour guided tour around the old part of Ljubljana will show you it’s old architecture and monuments as well as it’s special charm. Take time to stop in one of the shops that sell locks around the river and lock it on Mesarjev most, where lovers form all over the world put locks with their initials with hopes of ever lasting love. Take a ride with the funicular up to Ljubljana castle where the beautiful view of the entire city awaits. The castle has been renovated and has different viewing towers, if only you are not too afraid of heights. Lunch will be served in a restaurant with top cuisine and a 5 course menu. After lunch we suggest you take a stroll through the cities park Tivoli, before headed back to Kamnik in the late afternoon. Dinner will be served in the cosy hotel restaurant. Have a good night sleep because the next day another adventure awaits.
Day 5
After breakfast we will visit the capital city Ljubljana. In Ljubljana, the old is lovingly interwined with the new. The city has managed to preserve the traces of all periods of rich history. Its is a city with a soul. We will walk through the old town center and see famous Prešernov Trg, Tromostovje, Shoemaker's Bridge, Congress Square ..., we will take funicular towards Ljubljana Castle, where is a beautiful view over all Ljubljana. At 1 pm lunch at the castle. After lunch, a visit to the City Museum of Ljubljana, which will present the history of Ljubljana, it's important geostrategic position and exceptional events from prehistory to the 20th century. Free afternoon to explore the city. At 7pm dinner and after dinner we will head towards Ankaran.
Day 6
A trip to Bled, a beautiful lake with an island in the middle. Take a walk around lake Bled and enjoy romantic 6 km with the stunning views. Stop in one of the coffee shops around the lake and try Kremšnita, one must not go to lake Bled without having one. The rowing boat Pletna will take you to the Island where if getting married there it is tradition for the groom to carry the bride up the 99 steps. You can also visit Potičnica where they specialise in making different types of the traditional Slovenian dessert Potica. After return to the mainland we will go to Bled castle with a view that will take your breath away. Lunch will be an incredible culinary experience. After lunch you can take a tour of the castle and we are headed back to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner is served at the hotel.
Day 7
We visit Postojna Cave, the biggest cave in Europe. 9 a.m. the tour guide will take you on an adventure through the depts. You will continue our way to see the Predjama Castle, carved into the rocks. Let it’s story take you to he medieval times. Another castle follows, this time for a culinary delight. After lunch at Castle Zemono we will continue to a town called Štanjel for a guided tour. Štanjel is one of the oldest towns in the karst region, it’s achitecture has been strongly influenced by an architect Maks Fabiani. For dinner you will be served the typical dishes from this region. After dinner we head to Hotel Ortus in Ankaran where you will be welcomed by a signature drink.
Day 8
Day starts with a walk around Moon bay. It is know by it’s beautiful cliffs and views. It is a part of Strunjan Landscape park. Perfect for couples photos. You will receive a picnic basket and grab some towels so you can take a swim in the sea. Afternoon that follows is in the salt pans in Sečovlje for a guided tour that takes an hour and a half. Afternoon will end in Piran, the most beautiful coastal town in Slovenia. Piran is one of the picturesque medieval towns of Slovenia. After an excellent meal you can enjoy the lights in the ancient town. Evening ends back in a comfortable bed in Ortus.
